The decor, the design, the modern look.
Room was too small.
Very good location. Helpful staff. Interesting architectural design to transform an old palazzo into an efficient hotel space.
Breakfast which was included in the price of the room was chaotic, understaffed and under catered.
The friendly staff, Analisa and Iuamano (sp?) the Greek/Australian were very kind. Your breakfast was very good.
Absence of tissues (I had a cold) and wash cloth like most Italian hotels.
good location, friendly stuff, rooms without carpet on the floor, quiet and very close to the shopping streets and restaurants
The design of the hotel with all the art exhibits was really beautiful. The rooms were also very modern, wood floors, excellent bed, and well designed bathroom, also the curtains really kept the light out. Breakfast was very good, continental pastries, bread, cereals and fruits, as well as bacon and egg. They also catered for my gluten free diet which I preinformed them of. The front desk staff were very helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations. Most of all, the location is fantastic, in between the cathedral and the river, centre of all the key sights.
The room lighting was a bit dark, designed subdued lighting for ambience I'd imagine. I asked several times to switch the air conditioning on, and was told engineeers would come to check etc. After 2 days was finally told no air conditioning is allowed in Florence until May. So when it's 25C you just have to open the windows, which if you are on the road side means noise until quite late. My colleagues were on the courtyard side which apparently was very quiet so recommend that or earplugs! Would definitely return though.
+ location, art, nice design, breakfast
- small bathroom, we had some problem with TV so we needed repairing 2-3 times (it was quickly repaired), staff wasn't helpful as we were accept them to be (it was difficult to move with the car in the center but we manage to come to the hotel to bring the baggage, then we went to parking place -staff said that it wasn't possible to come there with the car, also we asked them if they can make reservation to Uffizi they told us that it isn't possible to book for that day so we walked to Uffizi ourselves and didn't have any problem to make reservation) You have to pay for internet (for 4 star hotel I think it should be free) and they don't have wireless
I loved the breakfast, the autistic style of everything!the bar on site the spa & Turkish bath! Also the hotel is so close to everything. Staff are very attentive & assisting!
I would have stayed longer!!!
The special atmocphere
A nice hotel in down town Firenze. Rooms and service a in high standard. Nice art :-)
Top location with all the sights of Florence on your doorstep and the most friendly and helpful staff on the reception desk.
Reasonably priced for the location by booking on this website but way overpriced if paying the rack rate. It was unseasonably cold when we were there and we found the room a little cold at night, even with extra blankets. Water in the room was luke warm at best and in the jacuzzi was stone cold. Bar had no Vin Santo, in Italy !!! They need to sort these little things out to live up to the high prices but overall it was a pleasant experience.
the best choice from point of view of location, prices and uniques atmosphere
n/a; like this hotel much and already stayes there 3 times before^))))
Primarily the location - excellent for seeing all important sites. The arty decor is interesting - a clever re-do of an old building. The breakfast was good. Breakfast room staff were delightful & warm.
Bathroom facilities! Neither sink nor bidet had a hot water line, so all cold water - and the temperature outside was freezing! The shower had hot water, but very hard to adjust and to keep flowing at desired temperature. Very dispiriting on a cold, gray, wet day to not be able to bathe in comfort.
We enjoyed the beautiful building and the location.
I am sorry to say, but the staff was very unhelpful and very unfriendly. We stayed at a hotel in Rome called the Suite Hotel near the Piazza de Republico and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Your staff coud learn from this staff on the proper way to take care of guests.
A private function was held in the bar/reception area which meant hotel guests could not sit or have a drink that evening. We had to show our room passes to gain entry into the hotel.
Very classy. Staff was extremely helpful. Locations was perfect.
nothing! everything was great. If there is anything that might be chnaged a little is that the breakfast staff could be a bit more attnetive. This is a suggestion not a complaint.
